Beeches
Beeches
The Beeches and the adjoining Beechwood campsite were originally a small campsite in their own right before becoming part of the wider Lees Wood Scout Activity Centre. Today, they form one of our most popular areas for group camps and residential stays.
The Beeches Accommodation Block
The Beeches is our second accommodation block and comfortably sleeps up to 20 people, making it ideal for Scout groups, youth organisations, training weekends, and residential camps.
Sleeping arrangements are split across:
-
2 rooms sleeping 4
-
2 rooms sleeping 6
The building includes a large central hall, providing plenty of indoor space for activities, briefings, or mealtimes. Chairs and tables are conveniently stored in the cupboard at the end of the hall and can be easily set out as required.
At the far end of the hall you’ll find the Beeches open-plan kitchen, fully equipped for group catering, including:
-
Catering-sized fridge
-
Separate freezer
-
6-ring gas hob
-
Large double-sized oven
Beechwood Campsite
The Beechwood Site itself covers just under 0.75 acres, offering a generous open space ideal for outdoor activities or camping. It’s a firm favourite for group camps, thanks to its layout and proximity to facilities.
In addition to the indoor toilets within The Beeches building, the campsite also benefits from:
-
An outdoor toilet block
-
A shower block at the far end of the site
-
A disabled toilet and accessible shower wet room
- Purpose-built Campfire Pad
*Please note: this is the only accessible shower wet room on site for those who need it. Other site users may occasionally require access; if so, we will always notify you in advance.
Utilities & Power
Electrical sockets, fridges, and freezers are operated via a £1 coin meter, located within the kitchen area.
